Tiger Grandmaster Paul B. Dusenbery, PhD
7th Degree Black Belt
Dr. Dusenbery began his training in the Martial Arts in 1972 as Grandmaster Rose's first East Coast student. He obtained his 1st Degree Black Belt in Shudo-Kan Karate from Grandmaster Rose in 1975 and became Assistant Instructor of the Rose School of Karate. He obtained his 2nd Degree Black Belt in 1977 and was accepted as Grandmaster Rose's Disciple in the White Cobra.
After receiving his PhD in Theoretical Physics in 1978 from the University of New Hampshire, Dr. Dusenbery moved to Boulder, Colorado and opened the Way of the Crane.
He received his 5th Degree Black Belt Masters promotion from Grandmaster Rose in 1987. In 1990, Dr. Dusenbery moved to Washington, DC where he worked for the National Science Foundation. In 1992, he returned to Boulder, CO and began the Boulder Karate Club.
In 1993 he received his 6th Degree Black Belt, was nominated as Grandmaster Rose's Designate, and became a member of Board of Directors of the C&S Self Defense Association. Upon promotion to 6th Degree Black Belt, he received the title of "Tiger Master".
In 1999 Dr. Dusenbery was promoted to 7th Degree Black Belt and was granted the title of "Grandmaster".
Dr. Dusenbery is a space scientist, writer, lecturer, and is the Executive Director of the Space Science Institute in Boulder, CO, a non-profit institute dedicated to space research and pre-college science education.
Master Dusenbery separated from C&S in July 2006 and established Tiger Arts.
